The best time for gorilla trekking in Uganda is during the dry seasons: June to September & December to February.
Both Rwanda and Uganda offer incredible gorilla trekking experiences, but they cater to slightly different preferences and budgets. Rwanda is generally considered more luxurious and convenient, with higher permit costs and a shorter journey time to the park, while Uganda offers more affordable options and a wider range of activities.
