The drive takes you through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside with rolling hills, green farms, and small villages — a view that explains why Rwanda is called “The Land of a Thousand Hills.” Arrive at your lodge near Volcanoes National Park in the evening. Wake up early for breakfast, then head to the Kinigi Park Headquarters by 7:00 AM. Meet other travelers for a short talk with the park ranger, who will tell you about golden monkeys and their special habitat. At 8:00 AM, go to the starting point and begin your walk through the bamboo forest at the foot of the volcanoes. The hike is easy, letting you enjoy the stunning mountain views. Soon, you’ll meet a group of golden monkeys – fun, curious, and full of life.
Spend an hour watching these rare monkeys as they jump between trees, eat bamboo shoots, and sometimes sneak into potato fields. Take lots of photos and enjoy this amazing moment in nature. Return to the lodge for lunch, then begin your scenic journey across the border to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. After border checks, continue to your lodge, have dinner, and relax for tomorrow’s gorilla trek.

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before heading to the Bwindi National Park Headquarters for a full briefing. Rangers will explain trekking rules to make sure you have a safe and respectful meeting with the gorillas.
Begin your unforgettable trek through Bwindi’s thick and magical forest. The hike can take 2 to 5 hours (sometimes more), depending on where the gorilla family is located. The walk itself is a great adventure, with steep paths, dense plants, and stunning views.
When you finally find the gorillas, spend an hour watching them eat, groom, and play. This rare chance to be near them is one of the most special wildlife moments in the world.
After the trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest. Spend the evening relaxing, enjoying the peaceful forest, or thinking about your incredible day.

After breakfast, say goodbye to Bwindi and drive back to Rwanda. Cross the border and continue to Kigali.
